Misty's barber shop

I am an 82-year old retired sailor that grew up in LA (Lower Alabama) where barber shops were the most important place in town. Stories were told (some true), deals were made, local and national news discussed, and weather/crop prospects evaluated. Misty's is that kind of place, a place where time waits a while to pass. And, oh, by the way, you can get a great haircut. Rick Bragg where are you?

Asked for a naval haircut, and Misty delivered. Not only was this old sailor happy, so was my Navy wifey of almost 60-years. Misty's is a barber shop truly 'out of the past,' the Southern past. The great southern author, Rick Bragg, would love to get his hair cut at Misty's. And if you are southern and do not know who Rick Bragg is, you should!

My Dad has used Misty for many years for his haircut and beard needs. When Dad moved to the nursing home I wasn't sure how we would be able to handle getting his hair cut. One call to Misty and everything was taken care of. She came to the nursing home, took care of my Dad's needs and sent me a picture when she was done. A wonderful and gracious woman.
