My 2 star rating is for the warranty department - TCS, Inc. Warranty Control and Lydia LaDow. This department lacks professionalism and wasted my time. I was told by email that a superintendent would come out to speak with me about an issue found from the 30 day warranty list around 9:00 on August 25th. I waited for 2 hours and nobody showed up. No email or phone call. I was blown off which is unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. BUYERS IF YOU CAN POINT OUT ISSUES BEFORE YOU CLOSE AND DO NOT CLOSE UNTIL THEY ARE FIXED, THAT IS WHAT I RECOMMEND BECAUSE IT IS A PAIN TRYING TO GET IT FIXED AFTER THE FACT. The process in building with Ivey was seamless. The sales agents are absolutely wonderful. Sales agents and Ivey staff communication is great, very responsive to requests/questions. The design studio experience with their amazing designer was exciting and helpful. Even after closing the warranty department ensures they address all your concerns. The biggest issue is quality control, there were numerous issues we had to submit to warranty upon closing. It is a burdensome to have to submit all these items and coordinate missing work to have things repaired. I think better quality control up front would reduce this. Recently, I attempted to purchase a new construction home with Ivey Homes. I thought the process was going smooth but it was not actually. We place an offer with specific amount of construction deposit they accepted the offer at first. Next day then, they came back said "Oh no we need more for the Construction deposit (basically asking for more than what we offered)". I am like, well then why did you accepted the first time. You could have told me from the beginning and I could have evaluated if the numbers were okay with me. Then I could have notify you with my final decision.
