Phil has been giving my son weekly guitar lessons for about for about 7 months now, and I can't say enough about how good he is with my 16 year old son. He is a great teacher, always consistent and communicates well regarding the lessons. He is patient, encouraging, and really skilled as a player and teacher (which is hard to find). My son loves taking lessons with him (after being with another teacher that didn't work). I've seen his interest in guitar and music in general grow tremendously since he has been studying with Phil. Phil is a very rare find. His musicianship is exquisite and his ability to communicate, teach, and inspire truly set him apart. Phil has become one of my favorite musicians to work with in the studio, and my admiration of his abilities has moved me to become one of his students myself!
