We have visited Dr.Powell-Johnson twice now for my dog who has bad chronic dry eyes. She is extremely knowledgeable. The visits are not cheap, but if you need an eye vet specialist, they are excellent. They run promptly on time.
The Dr. is super knowledgeable and breaks down everything for you, even tells you about breed specific issues. Our first appointment went smoothly, but our second appointment was right after the holidays and they were backed up on our scheduled appointment day. We waited for 30+ minutes in the parking lot, so I started driving around to calm my anxious pup. When they finally called to say that they were ready, they threatened to cancel/reschedule because we weren't immediately available. Lesson learned: avoid making late-day appointments if you can. Dr. Powell and her staff are fantastic and I highly recommend them. The staff is very friendly, creating an almost family feel, and Dr. Powell is an absolute expert when it comes to eye issues. She knows how to explain it for the layman, which is extremely helpful. My piece of advice, if given the option between the collagen drops and the more costly stem cell drops is to bite the bullet and get the stem cell drops. It just works exponentially faster.
