I have a rescue dog who has major anxiety and not good with other animals due to his past abuse. I was impressed how the staff took note and was very in tune to his needs. They made our visit easier on him and myself.

Amazing techs and vet! Excellent recommendations for my female as she is a bilateral cleft lip and palate and my handsome (over weight but now on a doggy diet!) big boy. Front desk was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

The staff at Auburn Animal Hospital are friendly, patient, kind and thorough. I went to this vet office on a recommendation and have not been disappointed. After a recent surgery, I was given clear instructions for post op care for my dog and didn't hesitate to call them if I had questions. I would recommend this practice to any dog or cat lover!

Looking for a new veterinarian to give all my vet $$$$’s to!

Today I had to take my dog Moonpie Murphy for something needing immediate attention to the vet. At the end of the visit when I came back to pay and pick her up and get her medicine, I asked also to purchase her heartworm/ flea medicine as well. I explain to the office lady at the front that Moonpie is due for annual, heartworm test, and shots in October but her heartworm medicine that she takes runs out a month early. She would need one for September or have to go without for a month. I explained this last year as well when needing . That time I was told the rules and all about the heartworm test being done in October, and I guess they want to make sure you pay for the yearly visit and get all that done., but I was allowed to buy the medicine. Seeing as how I’ve paid $455.14 just since 6-24-24 in vet bills keeping Moonpie all healthy and bring her each year for the annual shots and tests, obviously I'll be bringing her. One pill couple years ago was spit out by Moonpie and not discovered until later that day and it was gross. This is why she is a month off.

When I tried to tell the lady my husband is in the hospital with heart failure, lung failure, kidney failure, and I’m too stressed to keep trying to get this heartworm medicine she tells me, “we are all stressed out!” In a terse voice. Then finally she tells me I can buy one pill which of course costs more per pill than buying the pack($200 for 6 months pack). She then hands me a heartguard, and I tell her that’s not the right one. She tells me that’s what I asked for , but I said heartworm medicine not heartguard. It’s on their file what it is, as I don’t remember the name without seeing it. I was done with it after she argued with me, and told her I just wanted to pay my bill and have my dog so I didn’t have to speak with her anymore. Paid and left.

They had two accounts for my dog when I got there, one in my name, and one in my husband’s. I’ve tried to get this straight multiple times as we have different last names. Usually I just give his name when making an appointment, but I wasn’t thinking and said mine. I got that straight in the back, but office lady must have been on my name one with nothing. Or the lady is just rude and lacks empathy, with no customer service skills, or both. I ran an office for years, I know all about both sides of the counter.

I love the people in the back, they are awesome. The vets, techs, all of them I’ve met. They are gentle and kind. I like the front desk office personal, except that one today. The treatment reminded me of when you have to do business at places where they don’t need decent customer service because there is nowhere else you can go.

I CAN go somewhere else, and will! I will miss the vets and techs in the back. I hope your employee out front doesn’t ruin more of your business, by treating customers poorly.
