Dr. Myers performed partial knee Makoplasty on me in 2017. Started PT and my knee swelled to three times its regular size, so I couldn't start any strength conditioning. Six month post-op with Dr Myers, my quad had atrophied. More PT in-house didn't help. Finally I consulted with a Duke University Orthopedist. His X-rays showed that the Makoplasty device was put in crooked, which was why my leg was bowed and I was unable to straighten it. Dr. Myers denied it was crooked and said I was bow-legged so the device had to follow the curve of my leg. (News to me.) Fast forward SIX YEARS of living in constant pain. I finally got up the courage to have another surgery. New doctor did a full knee replacement and noted there was encapsulation in the back of my knee that was never addressed. He straightened my bowed leg, and with PT, I am close to being able to fully flex. I am frustrated and angry that I went through years of pain and deformity because of Dr. Myers. His arrogance and over confidence is a hindrance IMO, and he needs to find some humility. I hope that I'm the only one who has had this experience.

I see a lot of good reviews for Dr. Myers. My experience could not be further from the truth. I experience chronic osteoarthritis pain which nearly cripples my physical abilities of my right arm post shoulder surgery. The activities it's taken me away from is just as bad as the physical pain. I'm a young man and thought that I could use my shoulder again to do what I like to do after surgery. His surgery ruined most of what I enjoy in life. If I could give him negative five stars I would.

Dr. Myers is the best as they come when it comes to shoulder surgery. He and his staff are worth the wait and come highly regarded from my doctor. I recovered well and was back to playing tennis. I would recommend Dr. Myers over any orthopedic doctor in Atlanta if you have shoulder problems.

Dr. Myers and his staff have been terrific. They have taken their time to educate me and answer my questions regarding my injury and surgery. It is not a stretch to say they give each patient the red carpet treatment. My family and I have been very pleased with the level of patient care shown to us on different occasions. Thank you, Dr. Myers and staff!

Worst staff and doctor visit I have ever had. I brought in my X-Rays and MRI discs from another doctor, and was put in an examination room. They tried to send me to x-ray and I explained I brought x-rays from a recent visit. They lost them. Said I never brought them. Then they found the x-ray envelope and said I brought them an empty envelope, which is ridiculous. Called me a liar. They could not figure out how to open the MRI discs. I left and requested a call from the doctor. Doctor refused my calls and refused to call me back. Hides behind his employees. Staff emailed me and said if I wanted to discuss the mistreatment with the doctor, I would have to make another appointment. Pay to talk to the doctor about a complaint and not receive any patient care? Pending complaint with the Georgia Medical Board for the most unprofessional treatment I have ever had.

Dr. Myers has treated myself and my family for several years. The only orthopedic surgeon I would trust in the area. Hands down the best ACL surgeon. Sometimes there is a wait to see him but just know it's absolutely worth the wait. Highly recommend!!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Myers and his team. My husband and I both had PRP stem cell shots in the past 4 months and it’s made a HUGE difference for both of us!! My husband had a chronic ankle injury since high school and is now running better than ever in his life! I broke my foot, specifically known as a Jones Fracture. Statistically Jones Fractures do not heal well; sometimes they never heal without surgery or if they do heal they can be very slow to heal! After allowing the swelling and initial injury to heal (during which there was very little progress with healing the fracture) Dr. Myers utilized ultrasound and strategically placed a PRP injection into the fracture site and within 6 weeks it was 100% healed! I cannot say enough how grateful I am for Dr. Myers’ insight and suggestion of this methodology for healing! For some reason insurance has not figured out that one PRP injection costs them a lot less than the inevitable surgery, so it is still not covered by insurance, but hopefully one day soon! It’s more than worth the private pay cost. The results are amazing! Healing your fracture with your own stem cells! Virtually pain-free, minimal down time and a better than ever foot! Thank you, thank you to Dr. Myers and his entire team! It’s a super medical staff who is always very pleasant!

Dr. Meyers is a terrific doctor, repaired my shoulder last year and back this year for knee surgery. I have recommended him to others, and they have also had amazing experiences. You will see signage posted that he will spend all time necessary with you, and I never felt rushed meeting with him. As a result, you may have long waits on some visits - but you will never feel rushed. Highly recommended. Also, I am not new to this - I have had 5 prior orthopedic surgeries.

I've been a patient of Dr. Myers for nine years now. My case went from initially torn cartilage to partial joint replacements due to rheumatological arthritis. Dr. Myers will seek out every opportunity to treat your root cause without involving surgery. It might begin with home exercises or physical therapy or Synvisc injections. Surgery is always the last resort. If you do require it, he works toward the least invasive procedure with a faster recovery. There were times where he didn't have answers and sought out assistance from others either in his field or outside his expertise to find the right treatment for my joint pain and arthritis. He helped connect me with the right people and work with others on my case. He is well regarded in the medical community, among his peers, hospitals, and physical therapists. People know who he is and speak highly of him. His staff are hard-working, friendly, attentive and personable. I'm grateful for Myers Sports Medicine and the help they provide.
