Karen Smalley worked wonders with our 3 year old cockapoo who was needing to learn some commands to help him to behave more appropriately and feel more in control of his own impulses — he spent two weeks board training with Karen and I’m amazed at the progress! His nervousness around strangers is dramatically reduced and his ability to begin to truly master commands such as down, stay and spin amazed me. Karen has a calm, intuitive bead on a dog’s mind and psyche, and her positive reinforcement techniques resonated really well with our dog’s intelligent & sensitive nature. We took a 6 week basic commands/obedience class with Karen with our new puppy. She was AMAZING!!! I wish we hadn’t moved away, as I’d love to take more classes with her so our dog behaved like hers!!! She teaches you the skills, but you have to do your homework to get results. Highly recommend her!!!

We had a great experience leaving our 6 month old brittany for a week of Board and Train with Melissa. She taught our dog a lot and gave us the tools we needed to continue training her at home!
