Our dock was destroyed by hurricane Ian in 2022 and our boat lot sustained severe erosion damage. We contacted Abbott Construction shortly after the storm. They (Rhett and Chris) came down to the site in Englewood very promptly and quickly gave us an estimate for the restoration, which would involve a new sea wall and dock. They arranged everything: survey, engineering, permitting, excavation and construction. Abbotts did a demolition of our old seawall and installed a new one. While the start of the project was delayed due to a backlog of work brought on by the COVID pandemic, we were very happy with our choice to choose Abbotts for the work as compared to two other contractors who submitted work proposals and bids.Rhett Wiggins was straight forward from beginning to end. Our project was complicated by the fact that we working with Abbotts remotely outside of Florida. Abbott's Construction was very professional and super helpful. They advised me on what needed to be done and showed me how to check my septic tank levels easily. This tip alone was worth its weight in gold. And although, through no fault of the company, I needed to go with a different company, I most certainly would have used them and recommend them to anyone in need of the services they provide.
