We went this am to EPMC, after waiting all weekend with a concern for my husband's eye. He was quite anxious, however the staff was so nice during intake. Then, we met with Dr. Callingham. What an awesome person, let along Physician. He had a great sense of humor, which put my honey at ease, which I very much appreciated. They had the equipment necessary to get us a diagnosis and I wanted to share that it's a great alternative to the ER. Much more personable and super nice, modern facility too!
I went to this center April 11th. I was taken back fairly quickly. Which was nice. The nurse, Gary, was nice! He was amazing! My doctor was Dr. John Collingham, he honestly wasn't that great. He was a nice guy but when I tried to explain my symptoms and the issues I was having he just wouldn't listen. I felt I was being talked over and my concerns were not heard. I was told I had some type of fungal infection, I wasn't clear because he didn't really explain or answer my questions to help me, he seemed to be in a rush to get out of the room. Came in with 4 weeks of URI symptoms. Just wanted to make sure I didn’t need antibiotics. Front desk girl informed me about 1-1.5 hr wait; however, I was seen 4 hrs after checking in. 2.5 hrs wait in the waiting area and another 1.5 hr in the room. I could literally hear MD chatting with medical personnel behind my door. MD was nice old lady, who probably was the reason of such long wait (there were tops 5 people ahead of me). My honest opinion, try another urgent care, or different location if your problem is truly urgent.
