My first consideration in picking a computer consultant isn't technical excellence. That's a close second. My first consideration is whether these are people I can trust, not only to do the job well but to accurately explain the issues and their associated charges. Any professional can tell you a job required any number of bench hours and if you're like me a computer is a black box you have no way to assert otherwise and have to pay whatever they want.I brought my problem -- and it was a big one: data recovery off an SSD drive -- to My Computer Tech and they retrieved the data on time and for a very reasonable cost. Are they the "cheapest"? I don't know, I didn't shop...read full review
