Let's start by going directly to the point, I hired SFE Hardwood Flooring because I needed a very specific Started Step to be made from scratch, and they did an amazing job! In fact, they blew my expectations away! I recently decided to replace my carpet for hardwood/laminate flooring, and the started step became a nightmare. No one knew how to deal with a rounded nose and the circular edge of the starter step. They all wanted me to cut it off and make it square, which would take away the beauty of of the step. Additionally, and I consulted 3 floor installers, they all suggested the same thing, not on account of it's beauty, but on account that they didn't know how to make the rounded step, and it would be easier for them to just square it off. But that's not how I work. If it's rounded, it's rounded for a reason, whether aesthetic or not. Additionally, if everyone is going around giving the same recommendation on account that they don't know how to do a rounded starter step I'm certain I'm going to end up being one of the very few homeowners with a rounded starter step, a original focal point! So I didn't give up! I don't really like to take no for an answer if I know there's a way around it. I went from floor-shop to floor-shop asking who could do the job, yeah, floor and decor had no idea who could do it, another shop recommends I go and ask at Floor and Decor, so you get the gist. In the end, I ended up at Floors Direct in Plantation, and when I presented them my dilemma, they only gave me a single business card, SFE Hardwood Flooring's. Let's just say that the starter step, which at the beginning of this whole process was the big unknown, turned out incredible. It is now the cornerstone, the center piece of the stairs, all thanks to Mark and his company. The shaping of the wood, the quality of the material, the matching of the colors, and David's installation itself, from the creation of the mold to the actual fitting, were impecable! Mark's craftsmanship and customer service should also be commended. He's a man of his word. He met all deadlines, answered all my calls, and emails, and showed up on-time every time we met. If you've ever hired more than one contractor in your life, you would realize how difficult that is to find. So go, ahead, if you are dealing with hardwood floors, you can't find better people! Their work speaks for itself!

I needed some vinyl flooring for my house and some custom moldings Cristine and the staff at SFE hardwood flooring‘s or very helpful very courteous and very knowledgeable they gave us a lot of advice on what material to use for our house and were also able to make us some custom moldings that we needed as well I will definitely Return to them for all of my flooring in molding needs

I needed one piece of Stair Nose and couldn't find what I needed anywhere. No one locally to carry the particular or color we needed. After visiting for or five distributors it was suggested that I try S.F.E. Inc. Hardwood Flooring. Mark and Christine were terrific, they assured me they could give me what we needed. Mark found a piece of "unfinished" stair nose in his warehouse that was an exactly like the piece I brought with me. There assured me that they could stain it to match my original piece (which had been installed for 13 years). When I picked up the finished product I couldn't tell which was the original and which was the piece he stained for me. I will definitely go back for any of my flooring needs to include sanding and retaining. They are truly customer oriented and very reasonably priced.
