Ashley and her staff are incredible. The facilities are great whether you want cardio or strength training. And the workouts tailored to you on an individual basis are second to none.

Tucked somewhat incongruously behind Shake Shack on the Post Road is Pinnacle Health and Fitness. It's an oasis of exercise and wellness right next to the local outpost of Danny Meyer's chain known for burgers, fries, and shakes. And while Shake Shack may the perfect fix for an occasional craving, Pinnacle is an excellent place to regularly treat your body well. Pinnacle is a private gym and fitness studio largely devoted to one-on-one training. Their staff of fitness professionals specialize in fitness training, pilates, and yoga. They are all experts in tailoring your personal training to your needs. If you want to get back into shape or prepare for an endurance event, they can work closely with you to meet your goals. Over the years that I have gone there, I have seen brides (and bride's mothers!) work to get in shape for their big day. I have also seen clients working to come back from an injury or illness make outstanding progress with help from the Pinnacle team. There are also many students athletes who have further refined their skills with training at Pinnacle. The best thing is that your training is focused on you and your needs. If you are intimidated by crowded big-box gyms, Pinnacle is the perfect spot to get comfortable with exercise and work towards your fitness goals. Pinnacle's clients range from teenagers to hearty nonagenarians and everyone in between. Regardless of age or fitness level, all clients are made to feel comfortable there. If you are unsure of how to get started, stop by and the friendly front desk staff can give you a tour of the facilities and discuss your needs. If you are focused on exercise, you may train with one of the personal trainers. If balance and flexibility are your goals, pilates and yoga are options for you. There are actually many clients who work with staff members in both areas. The facilities are the icing on the cake at Pinnacle. The main fitness room and the pilates/yoga studios are very well maintained and are never crowded. Also, the locker rooms are more like what you'd see at a spa with towels and grooming supplies. Perks include a small steam room for the guys and upscale products for the ladies. If you train at Pinnacle regularly, you can also work out there on your own without any monthly fees. Make 1849 Post Road East your destination for health and fitness. With some hard work and support from the folks at Pinnacle, you'll be looking and feeling better in no time. And then you can treat yourself once in a while to the food in the front the building. You may be so happy with your progress that you just might opt for healthier fare, but for the record, the vegetarian burger's pretty tasty! Full disclosure: I did work at Pinnacle for two months two years ago. I have, however, worked out with my Pinnacle trainer for ten years. I believe that both of my experiences have given me the perspective to speak to the high level of service and results seen at Pinnacle Health and Fitness.

Great one on one training. Staff is professional and caring. So much nicer than large chains. Very individual approach to client's needs. Great for all ages. Wouldn't go anywhere else!
