Thom is an absolutely incredible instructor for self-defense. I was attacked in Chicago 3 years ago and terrified to start a program of self-defense as I was scared it would remind of the attack and all the other dangers out there, but Thom is so helpful and understanding, he really made it easy. Thom has not only prepared me to fight if I'm ever in trouble again but he taught me how to move, how to observe situations and basically always be a step ahead of the attackers. I'm now much more comfortable as I do my work travels to big cities all over the US. I can't thank Thom and his team enough for how much they helped me. Thank YOU, Thom!

Thom is a wonderful instructor and human being. He'll customize your program to your goals. He welcomes feedback and is someone that is always looking to add to his learning. The dojo has all of required equipment for personal training, martial arts, boxing, etc. I recommend anyone who's looking to either improve their fitness, their confidence, their mental and physical health via healthy living and lifestyle, or up their martial arts game. The environment teaches mutual respect and camaraderie. Thom also has the ability to teach all ages. My daughter has grown mentally, physically and has gained a lot of self confidence since joining Kempo Karate with Thom and the rest of the staff. I would recommend this place to any parent or family.
