I get that clinic’s are busy and I totally understand when you can’t get in on the day you call, however when your name is put on a list and this is your home vet clinic one would think that you would move to the next day, not a first come first serve basis only to start all over again. When we went here for our first visit I was so impressed, everyone was so kind and took such great care of my dog. I have referred several people here, I hope they have been treated better than I have this time. Can’t say that I spoke with anyone who cared today. Very disappointed!

They got me in sooner than originally scheduled, made accommodations even though they are booked solid. It is very much appreciated. Very kind. Thank you.

Been going here for 7 years with 3 different pets. They are kind and good to the pets. However, some of the vets are less knowledgeable than others and misdiagnose issues which are corrected much later by a different vet. This has happened a few times for us.
My biggest complaint is that they ALWAYS attempt to run every possible test on your pet. They don’t usually ask but instead say “they’d like to” or “we need to do bloodwork,” and then charge you for every little thing they did. $26 to look in my dog’s ear, I didn’t ask for that. $30 to rinse out his ears so you could then look in them… didn’t ask for that either. They’ve gotten pretty bad with this over the last 2 years. Today I was looking for some meds for a recurring skin and ear infection and before it was all said and done I was north of $425.

This review is long overdue it’s been a difficult few months. We took our senior dog aka the love of our lives.. to Ponderosa being relatively new to the area, we first saw Dr. Rippberger who spent so much time examining and caring for Zeus gently and thorough even though he got tired and nipped at her! she made me feel so important with my concerns and let me know to take him home and love him for his remaining time. So we did. When it was his time we brought him back and the staff could not have been more wonderful and sympathetic, Dr. Coufal (Soulful) was beyond sympathetic he spent so much time with us before the euthanasia procedure and after he was absolutely genuine and made us feel special in our grief. We trusted him completely with our good boy. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our beloved family member, we received kindness and empathy and we will always be grateful. Well done.

Everything what you read in reviews it’s laying, absolutely unfriendly receptionist, a new patient are not acceptable, you have to wait 3-4weeks, not the same day appointment, as it said on their site, very sad and disappointed

We have been going to Ponderosa for a little over a year now. They are the absolute best vet we have been to! You can tell that each and every team member truly cares about animals. They have made vet visits less stressful for our pets with their compassionate care. I couldn't recommend a better clinic!

Extremely unsafe clinic. They lost all of my dog’s past medical records — years of history I handed them in person and emailed multiple times. They even had the wrong owner information and refused to correct anything when I called. A staff member flat-out refused to accept updated records. I am a medical doctor, and I can say confidently: losing medical records like this is dangerous. Your pet could get duplicate vaccines, wrong treatments, or be denied emergency care because this clinic has no idea what they’ve done before. Their negligence has now disrupted my international travel because my dog doesn’t have the documentation he needs — all because this clinic cannot keep records. If they mishandle my dog’s file this badly, I’m terrified for what could happen to yours.

My dog was in for the first time yesterday. Dr Carrol and his tech got on the ground and petted my dog and talked to him while performing a thorough check up. He also followed up with me personally the next day with test results This is an office passionate about animals. There fees were reasonable and all around great experience

One of my pups is very scared of vet clinics and strangers. This is the first clinic we have been to where all of the staff including the veterinarian, Dr. Carroll, took the time to work with her and made it a positive, calm, compassionate experience. Additionally, they were prompt in checking us in and engaged with me as though I were an intelligent dog owner. So grateful for the team who helped Abby today. Thank you.
