I was a client of BRW’s for about four years. Throughout the years, I was consistently let down. It was common that I would email with questions, only to need to email again when my emails went unanswered. I was passed around to numerous employees/accountants because employees were repeatedly “no longer with the company” (that lack of retention of team members speaks volumes) and I was never informed of these changes to the employees on my account until I repeatedly sought out answers. In another circumstance, I wasn’t informed when my accountant was on maternity leave-no auto response, I had to continually email when I received no response to my emails/questions. Toward the end of our time together, the communication bettered but I was surprised with a 25% increase in fees and was told it was because of my “unique tax situation” (despite my circumstances/services never changing the entire time I was a client). When I asked professionally and kindly asked for those reasonings to be expanded upon, I was “released” as a client. I cannot advise individuals or businesses to work with BRW-your communication will be poor and inconsistent, you will be treated merely as another cog in the wheel and if you question your services or payment, you’ll be let go as a client. Find a different accountant now and save yourself the headache. (I also want to point out that every bad review below has the same robot-sounding response that they take their reviews and feedback seriously. Obviously they do not since nothing has changed).

BRW Tax and Accounting has a very good online system for guidance and uploading documents to a portal, and for reviewing and signing completed documents. I’ve had good service for years.
