Dr. Xie is the best chinese medicine doctor I've ever had - and this is me speaking on the basis of trying several chinese medicine doctors over the years in both china and the US. She has been educated both in China and the US on chinese medicine, acupuncture, and toxicology. She was able to explain my symptoms both in chinese and modern western medicine terms. I have been seeing Joann for acupuncture for over 8 months now. She is a highly knowledgeable and skilled acupuncturist who cares and has your best interests in mind always. Her goal is not to keep you as a patient long term, it is to get you well and your body strong to hold on its own. She encourages lengthening the time between sessions and doesn't hesitate to advise when treatment is no longer needed. I referred my house mate to her for a swollen ankle and after a handful of sessions they were complete.
