So thankful to find this gem in San Mateo. From the moment I met Kimberly, I felt a sense of comfort, knowing I would be well cared for and my health concerns would finally be addressed. Kimberly has an incredible amount of experience and knowledge and understands deeply that traditional western medicine only touches on so many conditions. We started a few months ago, first with a full head to toe medical history from childhood to present, and I appreciated that thoroughness combined with in depth blood work to create a full understanding of what may be the root cause of the issues I was experiencing, that my primary physician didn't seem to know what to do with. We came up with a plan for the hair loss I was dealing with, and looked at changing various things in my diet and vitamins I was taking. I am a true believer that we are all unique individuals and this customized approach to my body was exactly what I was looking for. Along with the recent hair loss, I have suffered on and off from migraines for years and they have lessened over the past few months continuing to work with Peninsula Holistic. We had visited many doctors prior to help my wife dealing with premature menopause. Other than throwing estrogen at 'the problem' they had no answer - and we realized that 'regular Western medicine' wasn't solving anything. After she had visited Dr. Burke we learned an incredible amount about how a body works, how the chemicals and transmitters work (or don't) and how everything can be brought together with an unconventional mix of eastern and western medicine: diet change, supplements and acupuncture were all part of Dr Burke's holistic plan to getting well again. While we saw my wife's overall health and symptoms improve (keep in mind: it took years to get it wrong - things don't heal over night) I started seeing Dr. Burke as well as I had sleep issues: I could fall asleep easily - but 2-3 hours into sleeping the night was over, and neither alcohol nor anything else changed this. I guess, I'm more the 'cause - effect' kind of person, so, after we did my blood work we took hours to go through every line item and Dr. Burke invested the time to explain everything. What is most important to me in working with any practitioner is RESULTS. After seeing Dr. Burke for only 3 sessions I was amazed by how much more energy, focus, and stamina I had. In addition, after 10 years without have a menstrual cycle (and plenty of inaccurate Western Medicine diagnoses) I now have my cycle back!! Kimberly uses a blend of tremendous medical insight coupled with divine intuition. Sometimes I don't even need to tell her about my symptoms, because she names them before I do. I am so grateful to have found a practitioner who is not only soul-forward, but also so well-versed in supplements, nutrition, and human physiology.
