UCLA Health San Luis Obispo Cancer Care

After getting diagnosed with leukemia I didnt know what to think. It felt like the world was ending. I spent almost 6 weeks in cottage hospital under the care of UCLA doctors. Who were really great. After my time in the hospital I was set up to do the rest of my treatments in san luis by t h e airport. The staff in san luis was great. All the nurses and receptionists were kind and courteous and I got to know them all on a first name basis. I was in there almost everyday. And everyday it was the same thing. I was called in even before I could finish the paperwork. Friendly and efficient front desk staff. First meeting with Dr. Tao was excellent. She is confident, friendly, open and confidence -inspiring!

I cannot say enough about this Oncology team, Dr DiCarlo and Mary Okimoto and the excellent type of care I have received. I cannot forget their staff. I was referred to Dr DiCarlo several years ago. I'm shocked that I didn't give a review before. They are amazing in so many ways. From the first time I met this doctor and staff, I felt extremely calm and well taken care of. When my other doctor did not respond to questions, I felt I could ask them and I would receive a response/suggestion within a short period of time.
