SLO internal medicine has been one of the last few places that takes covid precautions and ‘Im so grateful for that! Every business should offer clients complimentary n95s like SLIM does. As other doctors offices roll back protocols, which puts people like me at risk, I am happy to feel safe at SLIM. I have always received excellent care here from my doctor nurses, and receptionists. The parking is easy, and you don’t have to wade through a giant hospital or medical complex to get to the office.

Avoid this place! I'm a past patient with history of respiratory infection and called as I have wheezing and fatigue. Mind you already had COVID last month. They won't see me as I'm unvaccinated and I have an exception from UCLA! I could have pneumonia or past COVID complications and they could careless. What does this say about their care? They don't care!!!!!!

I had an emergency and the providers at SLIM were able to get me in same day as well as perform the procedure! Thank you so much NP Alyssa, Dr. Cherry and the kind staff!

Wow. This was my first visit and I didn't get any further than the rude, unprofessional, uncaring, and insensitive office staff!! Avoid this place.

San Luis Internal Medicine remains personable and professional in a healthcare environment that's growing increasingly difficult for a private practice like theirs. An annual physical with Dr. Hanson recently was unrushed and thorough. I was grateful to be seen by an articulate, sharp physician. The receptionist was busy but gave me their full attention when speaking with me. Whenever I've called their office to arrange an appointment or ask a question, I've been treated with dignity. I'll continue going to SLIM and remain grateful for their commitment to me as a patient.

I have been going to NP Kristy Rucker for over 10 years and cannot say enough good things about her as well as Dr Hanson and Dr Cherry. They are wonderful, caring and efficient. 5 Stars!

Seemed like an okay office until I noticed the extra fees and charges. I came in for my annual check up and asked a question about my wrist and received two charges-like two separate medical codes! I guess we get charged per body part now! Then the practice ( unbeknownst to me ) decided to send my blood work to a new out of network lab and I was stuck with a $825 bill. I called to bring this up with office staff and she just kept telling me it’s my responsibility, but how was I to know that they switched labs. Sadly, the trust has been broken and I will not returned nor refer anybody to San Luis internal medicine nor Dr. Hanson, Dr. Cherry or any of the nurse practitioners. I miss the good old fashioned doctors that Heather patient’s best interest at heart.

I had an appt with Dr. Cherry today.....I was not impressed. She looked and acted as if she didn't want to be in the room with me. She looked annoyed and bothered. She rolled her eyes at me and made me feel like an idiot when I told her I wasn't taking a medication that she clearly thought I should be taking? I tried to make small talk with her and she mumbled her responses back to me. I will not be going back there again.
