We had a great experience with Fon’s Canines two-week board and train program for our dogs. One of the trainers, Laurie, kept us updated with pictures, videos, and progress reports, which gave us peace of mind knowing our pups were doing well.
We especially appreciated that the first day focused on fun and bonding with Ricky, the trainer, to help build trust before the official training began. Even though the program was structured, our dogs were treated with great care. One of our dogs has severe hip dysplasia, and the trainers were very mindful of her limitations and adjusted accordingly.

I left my goldendoodle for the weekend last week and I was pleased with how I received him. He was happy, calm, and tired; from all the fun he was having with the other dogs that were there that weekend. Throughout the weekend, I received photos and updates on how my dog was doing which gave me a peace of mind. I will be bringing my dog back very soon!
After a few months of consistent daycare and a boarding stay, I can confidently say I would recommend Fon Jon to anyone and everyone who needs a place for their furry friends to have some fun. My dogs are always, always happy when we arrive even a block away and are happy as a clam during pick ups too. Being a helicopter mom with rescues, I tried four different highly recommended facilities here in San Diego as well (gotta see them all to find that perfect fit!!) and my dogs truly made the decision for me.
