I rarely leave a review for a company but in this case, I feel I should share my experience with AMC. This company is owned by a Christian family with values and ethics. I first meet Jack, the owner, and his daughter Marion several years ago. Jack is a "man's man" kind of guy but friendly and honest.Last year our heating went out during a very cold time of year and my husband had just had heart surgery and we were freezing. I hired AMC years ago for a big job which they did for me so I thought I'd call them again because my AC wasn't working again. I'm sorry to say that my experience this time was not what I remembered it to be. Everyone's concern over overpaying is valid. They charge $130 service charge just for trouble shooting and diagnosing. I was then charged $125 for a $10 product that required a quick hookup and when I respectfully asked about it, it became a little confrontational. I understand if I have to pay an additional $40 but $115 for something you can do in 5 mins? We are all extra careful during this pandemic, so please!
