Had a really great experience with Sit Means Sit Dog Training! The trainers are super friendly, knowledgeable, and really care about the dogs. They made the whole process easy to understand and gave me tools I can actually use at home. I’ve already seen a big improvement in my dog’s behavior and confidence. Billy and Harrison love going there for training (and the treats! 😂). Highly recommend if you’re looking for dog training in the Huntington Beach area! 🐾

Brandy in. Dec, had 10 days boot camp training. Recently she has been pulling and bucking when on the leash when encountering distractions. The group classes have become more difficult as well as walking her.

MJason provided a private lesson to work on her behavior and my timing. The lesson was incredibly helpful. Upon practicing today, there was already improvement. Thank you again ,Jason, for your time and expertise!!

Sit means Sit and our trainer Michael genuinely transformed mine and my puppy Rufus’s life!

Before training, I felt overwhelmed and unsure how to communicate with him, but working with Michael changed everything!

His patience, guidance, and confidence-building approach didn’t just train my dog… it trained me too.

Rufus is so much happier, more obedient, and more connected to me than ever. I can’t thank Michael and the entire team at Sit means Sit enough for giving us the tools, structure, and trust to thrive together. 100/10 recommendations!!

We had Michael work with our two Japanese Chins, and he was fantastic! I appreciated his low-pressure and informative sales process, so we decided to move forward.

He had a very calming effect on the dogs. I snuck some peaks out the window and I could see him making progress with the dogs, and the dogs making progress trusting him.

We spent a solid two hours on my training and the hand-off, and it has gone really well. Obviously, it's something you need to carry on when Michael leaves, but the dogs continue to make improvements every day.

I highly recommend him. He's a very nice guy, prompt, communicative, and great with the dogs.

Our 6-month old Lab was becoming a handful to train on our own so we sought out SMS for help. 20 days later we got Murphy back from his training stay and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! Big thanks to Ryan for his great work and follow up consults! SMS Orange County has my highest recommendation!

We took in our 6 month old Red Merle Australian Shepherd for 20 days because we needed A LOT of help! We know Red is a star with so much potential but just didn’t have the time to get him started and Ryan did a phenomenal job from our initial consultation through the end of the program. You can tell by the videos and pictures that he has a passion for the love and care he takes on each lesson. We felt Red was safe and well cared for by Ryan and all the staff that runs Sit Means Sit. As someone mentioned in a review, it really does involve you continuing the education for your dog and the bond you can continue to build from the training Ryan so lovingly provides.

Since we saw Red did so well, we have a 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog that is already a star but has some bad habits. We enrolled her in the 10 day program since she is ahead in some obedience training but is a rescue so she has some habits to remediate that we feel Ryan and Team can help with so we can live a more meaningful life with our dogs’ level of potential.

Thank you Ryan for all you did for Red. He’s still a puppy but he’s SOOO much better now.

We enrolled our 10 month old and 4 year old Australian & German Shepherds to the 10-Day Board and Train. We had the pleasure of having Ryan as our primary trainer for our pup and she returned to us a changed dog. The pros to Sit Means Sit are endless to list but I’ll add a few below:
    - 🗝️ Gave us a mode of communication with our dogs that allow us to be better parents and for them to understand how to handle new environments.
    - 💫 Has a team that will take on challenges with confidence regardless of age, breed, or quirks. This was especially realized with our 4 year old German shepherd who is reactive and has high anxiety.
    - 🎀 Effective communication and customer service. Ryan was great with update videos and messages about our pups progress and has been a great help post board and train. Ryan is truly an asset to the team and we’re really lucky to have had him for our puppy.
    - 🌟 Effective Follow-Up. Unlike most board and train programs, Sit Means Sit ensures that as owners we have the tools for continued learning and progression with our dogs. From the personal training lessons to the group classes, their team ensures we get the full experience out of the training. They’re really cheerleaders for our success.

Post board and train ~ approximately 1 month after ~ our puppy no longer — (1) pulls on the leash, (2) is reactive to other dogs, (3) is comfortable in new environments where previously she would be going crazy, (4) is more obedient at home and will listen to our direction, (5) doesn’t jump out of the car the moment we stop, etc..

Just know, when enrolling your dog to this program, you are also taking on the workload of learning these new methods in order to ensure you remain consistent with your dogs once their home. That has been the biggest adjustment for us, so just be ready! It’ll be like you’re back in school and is definitely a brain exercise for both you and your pup. But the results are definitely worth it! ✨
