Decided to swing by for a quick workout and honestly, I’m pretty impressed. This LA Fitness has a lot going on. From what I remember of Montclair and this spot, just a heads-up, don’t leave laptops or bags out in the open, gotta stay safe. Most of the nearby stores and restaurants are closed, but the gym itself is really spacious. Tons of machines, some are a bit old, but they still get the job done. Looks like they did some remodeling, and they even have a smoothie shop. I liked the walking circle on the top level and the big pool, though you have to go outside to get to it. Not a big fan of the co-ed sauna and steam room; wish they were separate.... read full review

I’ve had a great experience at LA Fitness Montclair! The facility is clean and well-maintained, and the equipment is always in good shape.
A special shout-out to Nichols — he’s been such a helpful and friendly team member. Always ready to assist with questions and makes the gym feel welcoming. Highly recommend this location!

This LA Fitness location has a friendly staff and plenty of machines to choose from. However, there are always machines that are broken down or unavailable. The sauna and cold dip aren't always on or functional and the biggest issue is that the free weights and machine attachments are always scattered throughout the gym or cannot be found. The restrooms do have a strong odor and should probably be scrubbed more frequently.
