Last year I injured my right arm (my dominant one) in the gym and kept working out and lifting weight with it. I didn't realize how bad it was until it hurt to lift a travel mug out of my cup holder in my car and grip tongs while cooking. My elbow was also swollen, and I had off and on pain in the area of my right elbow. I could not straighten out my right arm in front of me, that is how bad my arm was. I was pretty sure I had lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow). I did not want to start epidural steroid facet injections for the pain or seek out surgery as I wanted to work on strengthening my arm back with physical/occupational therapy.
