After our kitchen sink started backing up Sunday night, we called South Bay Plumbing very early the next morning. Less than 2 hours later Matt was at our front door. Matt was able to clear the drain in about an hour and was the neatest plumber we ever had. He brought up a heavy movers blanket to protect the kitchen floor, a bucket large enough to put the P-trap in (without spilling any water that was in it) and clean cloths, which he later used to wipe off the mechanical snake, as he withdrew it from the drain, so it wouldn't create a mess under the sink area. After Matt replaced the P-trap, he wiped it (and all the area under the sink) off, so it was as clean as when he started. We were extremely pleased with South Bay Plumbing's quick response and Matt's efficient and courteous service.

After almost being scammed into a $2000 job, I called South Bay Plumbing in Hermosa Beach. Small and independent, they stayed in touch and were able to get over within 2 hours. Matt was knowledgeable and had the right equipment to do the job. Cleared the sink, cleaned up when he was done and educated me on avoiding future ones. They were a little pricey, but it was worth it to get the job done right and not get taken for a ride.

I've had Jay and Matthew out to the house 3 times now. They are now my go to plumber. Jay came out the first time to fix the biggest issue we had which was the wrong temp water coming out of various hot and cold handles through our the house. It also was causing a leak in the shower. Jay new what the issue was and went to work. The previous info I had on the issue had me worried I would need to replace a part that probably didn't exist. Jay also increased my water pressure and fixed a faulty sink stopper just cause he was there. Matthew came out twice and was nothing by patient and generous. All issues were fixed quickly and with quality. Matthew didn't even charge us this last time cause he was in and out in 10 mins. I highly recommend them.

I called a plumber that I have used and apparently he had gone out of business. Somehow the phone number was re routed to South Bay Plumbing and Heating. My tenant had called me and stated the hot water heater was not working and he had tried re started the hot water heater but it would not work. That's is when I called my plumber. As stated, the number was re routed to South Bay heating and Plumbing. I agreed to met them at the property. Once I was at the property, I started to investigate the problem. The problem was the tenant did not know how to re light the hot water heater. South bay Heating appeared about that time. I decided with my experience as a property manager, The gas lines needed to be cleared from the gas in the lines to restart it. Two so called plumbers from South Bay watched me and remained on the phone calling their office I assume. After about 10 minutes, the lines were cleared from the gas and the water heater started right up. Then the two plumbers started to turn down the water heater so the water would not heat up. I told them stop turning down the temperature level, I want to make sure it is working. Mean while, one of the plumbing representatives, continued watching me and talked on the phone. After about 30 minutes, the tenant told me the water was hot and he thanked me for fixing the problem. I told the plumbers I guess I do not need you after all. They go out to their truck and write up an inflated bill and handed it to me. To say I was upset would be an under statement because the facts were, these two so called plumbers were clueless and they did absolutely nothing. Later there boss calls me on the phone and starts badgering me and trying to justify there ridiculous bills. I would not ever recommend these clueless individuals as you can read from other post, these guys are only interested in one thing. That one thing is emptying your wallet. This is why I have them one star.

Extremely unprofessional service. Plummer who showed up at my job was late, didn't wear a mask, and made a mess. Became hostile when I asked him to clean up. Will not be recommending this company to any of my friends or family. Was extremely disappointed with their unprofessionalism.
