Melissa was the midwife for the birth of our second son. Having experienced both a hospital birth and a birth at the Casa Natal birthing center with Melissa, let me tell you. My experience here with our second son was the most beautiful, serene, peaceful experience. I 10/10 100% recommend it. (to further support how different this experience was from the first birth: We were so stressed and on edge at the hospital that as soon as our first son was born and he knew we were safe, my husband ran out of the room to throw up because of the shear stress and unease of the moment. I truly loved everything about my experience at casa natal and would without a doubt choose to birth again there in the future if we didn’t move out of state. I felt respected and able to make my own informed decisions along with the guidance from my midwife every step of the way. I appreciated everything being thoroughly discussed and pros/cons explained. Having long appointment times allowed for open discussion on many other topics such as mental/emotional status, nutrition, postpartum prep, etc and that was very meaningful throughout this journey. Our family very grateful to Casa Natal. We are still in disbelief that I had my baby in my way and had a beautiful experience. You don’t even know how this made me proud of myself for finally trusting my body and nature, finding the right support and place to meet my baby. So happy to be in your gentle, professional, supportive and magical birthing center!
