This is one of my favorite personal development centers in LA. It is a community center that educates people on the mind and how to manage your through the through mindfulness practices, based on teachings by Gurudev.

I started attending a few years ago in college when I found out about the SKY meditation program and have been coming back ever since.

Check out their full moon mediations, which happen every full moon and are open to the public. This is a great introduction to meditation for people who are curious and want to explore a new space.

A center of serenity near DTLA: first, I’m biased. I visit often. It’s a beautiful place with this epic architecture that one rarely finds. It’s really a one of a kind space in LA, and America for that matter. But more than that is the joy of the place. Yes, it’s right off of Hoover and Adams, which can get quite busy. But once you get inside, it’s quite peaceful, the programs are amazing, and the amount of joy is such a relief in contrast to what else is going on. Have been there for breathwork and meditation retreats, music events, a film festival, and for a college dance competition held at the center.
