Mark and Phoenix are knowledgeable and SO kind. I was trying to research urns from a different state for a Bay Area service, and they both spent so much of their morning helping me. They are clearly caring, and they handled everything so gently. I'm thankful for them!

I live out of town and my sister arranged services. Originally I was shocked at the total of the bill and no need to post it.Immediately after arriving, The staff was right on time. Courteous and went above and beyond to make everything as pleasant and memorable as possible. I was going off recent memories of how my father had looked seeing him the previous month and I expected to see him in horrible shape but I looked in his casket to see the man I grew up with looking beautiful, peaceful with shaven face in his suit. In recent memory, my family used Spangler Mortuary in Los Altos three times; two of those times, I was heavily involved in making the arrangements. Staff: Most of my interactions were with Gary Brown and I wish I had his patience and overall demeanor. Most meetings I had with Gary, some of my more rowdy relatives were with me and I am amazed at how Gary remained steadfastly calm through all the questions, interruptions, people talking over one another, etc. Pricing: Gary provided sheets that showed the pricing for every item, there's no hidden fees.
