Dr. Shamim is one of the best in yr office and truly one of the few doctors who makes you feel genuinely heard and understood. From the moment you talk to her, she creates a calm, positive and supportive atmosphere with so much empathy and professionalism that it really helps reduce patient stress.
Her diagnosis skills are excellent, and her guidance and advice are always thoughtful, clear, and reassuring. I honestly wish more doctors in clinics across the U.S. would learn and practice these kinds of communication and patient-care skills.

I experienced a disturbing level of unprofessionalism and administrative incompetence at Dr. Mojgan Ashtari’s office. For over a week, the staff provided inaccurate information, claiming my insurance was inactive. This was fundamentally incorrect, as my insurance was fully active and had been successfully used at another medical office on the very same day.
Due to this office's failure to provide timely care and their incorrect handling of my insurance, I was forced to visit Urgent Care twice and the Emergency Room once to manage escalating pain and prevent permanent hearing damage.
When I visited in person while in extreme pain (8/10), a staff member who was not even handling my case (whose name can be provided to the doctor or relevant authorities upon request) intervened unnecessarily and dismissively told me to 'go ahead and complain.' Furthermore, they refused to issue my urgent referral on the spot, providing the misleading excuse that only the doctor could do it, which forced an unnecessary 24-hour delay.
The following day, during my scheduled appointment, I was again denied a consultation with the doctor, who claimed to have 'no time.' Instead, the SAME staff member issued the referral herself—directly contradicting their previous explanation and demonstrating that the prior delay was entirely unnecessary.
To make matters worse, the STAT referral they finally sent included the private medical records of a completely different patient. This level of disorganization and breach of privacy is unacceptable. Formal grievances have been filed with CalOptima and the Medical Board.

If you are looking for a med spa, this is a great place. If you are looking for a primary care doctor, I don't recommend coming here. It takes over a month to get a phone call from their PA, and 2 months to be seen in person. This office does not offer telehealth either. You can find better, quicker care and faster wait times elsewhere. Delayed care is not quality healthcare. Cash is king, so med spa business takes priority over PCP appointments. Dr Ashtari is great at beauty enhancement services and very nice! But there are better offices for Primary Care needs.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Mozhgan Ashtari, MD as my primary care physician, and I couldn’t be happier with the level of care she provides. She is incredibly patient, thorough, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. She also follows up consistently to make sure I stay on track with my prescribed tests, exams, and treatments — something I truly appreciate.
Her team is friendly, organized, and always helpful. They return calls quickly, respond to texts promptly, and make scheduling or clarifications very easy.
The office location is extremely convenient, with plenty of parking available. The clinic itself is beautifully designed, modern, and comfortable, which makes every visit smooth and pleasant.
