Michele is the owner of Viking Hair Studio and she has been doing my hair for two years now. The negative reviews are from a former booth renter, Vanessa (there is a reason why she is gone). If you want a good quality job, please go see Michele. She has over 25 years of experience and has done everything from cut, color, and add extensions to my hair. I am African American and very particular with who I let touch my hair. I taught Michele a few things about dealing with AA hair and she has took it upon herself to order special products for me and learn how to style my hair type. I drive from Fresno to Kingsburg for her services. I have seen her work on my Caucasian girlfriends and she never disappoints. Great service and affordable prices.

If you like having hair, don't see Vanessa Navarro at Viking Hair Studio in Kingsburg, CA! Was referred to this stylist, so I booked an appointment. This was to begin the process (was told at least 3 sessions) of lightening my dyed/single color dark hair. The end result would be close to it's natural color (white/silver). After the first session, my hair was lightened, but I was left with at least 3 different colors. Vanessa assured me that the next session would remove the multiple colors and significantly lighten my hair. With her being the "expert", I trusted her & booked a 2nd session. For the next session, I was in the seat for 4-5 hours (the cost of beauty, right?). The color wasn't lifting as expected, but she continued. IMO, she should have stopped!! After my hair was done, Vanessa profusely apologized for the extensive breakage/damage. After my hair was processed, she ended up cutting off a lot of my hair. Since I was in the seat for an extended period of time & products used, I gave her money. It wasn't until I got home, that family noticed how EXTENSIVE the damage was. I immediately regretted giving her any payment. I went in with healthy hair that was past my shoulder blades. Only to end up with a few inches on the back of my head. Since then, I've been in tears as my hair has continued to break off. DO NOT GO TO THIS "STYLIST"!!

I got my hair done here and paid 220 dollars after the tip... I really like the color, asked for a cut, and she curled it, when I left I was very happy. After I got home and tried to straighten it, I noticed it was very uneven and there was a section of highlights on the top of my head that didn't blend at all... I contacted Vanessa and she told me she wouldn't be working until April 1 so she couldn't do it... she also tried to say the haircut was angled... however she has continued to do other girls hair... very upsetting especially after paying so much

I got my hair done yesterday by a Vanessa Navarro at Viking studio in Kingsburg she charged me hundreds of dollars to put tape in extensions. when I got home I noticed so many mistakes that she had done she did not even put the tape in extensions in right she did not know what she was doing so when , I text her to tell her my concerns she said " You were happy when you left I am not the hairdresser for you"and blocked me watch out for this girl she will rip you off give you terrible service. She is very unprofessional and does not know how to do hair !!!! Don't make the same mistake I did!
