I have been a patient of Dr. Alice Liu for over 20 years, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Over the years, Dr. Liu has diagnosed and treated two skin cancers and one precancerous lesion on the melanoma spectrum. Two of these were located on my face. As a Mohs surgeon, her skill is remarkable. Even knowing where the procedures were performed, it is virtually impossible to see any evidence that the lesions were removed.
For those unfamiliar with Mohs surgery, it is considered the gold standard for many skin cancers, especially on cosmetically sensitive areas such as the face. A Mohs surgeon receives specialized training to remove skin cancer layer by layer, examining each layer under a microscope during the procedure. This allows the surgeon to remove all of the cancer while preserving as much healthy skin as possible. In simple terms, a Mohs surgeon is trained to achieve the highest cure rates while leaving the smallest possible scar. When the skin cancer is on your face, that expertise can make a tremendous difference.
When I first selected Dr. Liu more than two decades ago, I was impressed by her extraordinary academic credentials: Princeton University for undergraduate studies, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and advanced training at UCLA. Those credentials certainly got my attention, but what has kept me as a loyal patient for 20 years is the quality of care she provides.
Dr. Liu is kind, compassionate, thoughtful, and an exceptional listener. She never rushes appointments, always takes the time to explain what is happening, and makes sure I understand my treatment options. Her office is professional, welcoming, and efficiently run.
I would also like to recognize the entire practice. On several occasions when Dr. Liu was unavailable, I was seen by other physicians in the group. Every one of them has been highly skilled, professional, caring, and thorough. My experience has consistently been that this practice attracts and retains outstanding doctors. It is reassuring to know that no matter whom I see within the group, I am receiving excellent care.
Simply put, I could not be happier with the care I have received. Dr. Liu combines world-class training, outstanding surgical skill, and genuine compassion for her patients. I am grateful to have her as my dermatologist and would recommend her without hesitation to anyone seeking the highest level of dermatologic care.

Great Docotors professionally and run organization. Front office personnel friendly and helpful. Improvement in on time appointments by Drs. and improvement in MOEs surgery wait times would raise rating to a 10. MOEs surgery wait times for lab results can run 2-3 hrs. But for quality medical care, administrative efficiency and user friendliness this is the place to go for outstanding Dermatogy care.
