I recently brought my cat, James, to this veterinary hospital for a heart scan after he was diagnosed with a grade 3 heart murmur. At the very beginning, there was a small hiccup with scheduling — I was told I would receive a call back, and after a few days I hadn’t heard anything. I ended up reaching out via email, and once I did, everything completely turned around.
From that point on, the care and communication were exceptional. The team was extremely apologetic about the delay and truly went above and beyond to make sure I felt supported and informed every step of the way. They followed up before and after the appointment, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire process.
I especially want to give a huge shout-out to Justine, who took incredible care of me and James. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a positive experience and genuinely made up for that initial misstep. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made a stressful situation so much easier.
I’m very grateful for the care James received and truly appreciate how much effort the team put into making things right. Thank you for taking such great care of my boy.

Expensive. Good doctors. Separate individual charges for assistants/staff, drawing of blood or samples and then the cost of the tests. Doctors are very thorough and caring.

Dr bowman acts too much and overcompensates was pretty annoying, nurses were ok. Not the best not the worst vet clinic. Won’t be back though.

These are the people you want to invest your $ with in wellness visits to avoid emergency care! I know for a fact my 14 year old dog wouldn't be with us today if we hadn't done just that. I have been coming to care & comfort for both of my aging pups for at least 3 years. I have seen each vet here and have always experienced top notch care! We have settled into using Dr Holly Allen & she is truly an angel of a human. Her demeanor is caring & attentive, and she communicates better than any vet I've ever worked with. She has helped both of my dogs through some pancreatic issues & solved a lifelong tummy issue for my 9 year old rescue. We have had long phone conversations and check ins which is above & beyond! I think prices are reasonable, and the staff always communicates estimates ahead of time. As busy as they get here, each employee still greets me with a smile. I trust them w dental cleanings & routine wellness checks as well. Thank you to the entire staff !! Care like this is truly hard to find.

I brought my dog who's dying of kidney disease to this clinic on recommendation of Pet Urgent Care of La Mesa. Dr. Diffley examined BJ, especially the kidney area. She said she could hardly feel her shrunken kidneys. I had gone there just to get a Mirataz and gabapentin refill. Dr. Diffley explained all the negatives regarding the meds BJ has been on for some time. I always have to explain that I don't euthanize my pets for personal, religious reasons. So I will need to go through what may be a very trying time as she nears her end. I'm just trying to keep my baby girl as comfortable and pain free as possible. I believe going to Care and Comfort was a good choice after I had a run in at her prior clinic and I was no longer welcome there. I also had no desire to return to that place. I recommended Care and Comfort.

Hands down the best vet in town! The sweetest staff and Dr Allen is the absolute best. She’s caring and will answer any and every question you have without giving you the run around. I had previously used another vet for my dogs and when an urgent matter happened to my pup my vet couldn’t take him for 3 weeks. Care and Comfort took in my fur baby in just 3 hours later. So thankful!
