I absolutely love Palo Alto Medical Foundation. I moved away for 18 years of the worst Drs imaginable. These Drs care about you. I never have to wait and they even have free valet service to park your car. Any negative comments I do not believe. I've never had such perfect care. I have gone to Palo Alto Medical Foundation since I was 15. I cannot recommend it more.

Tried calling to set a new patient visit and can't get past the automated phone system which kept misunderstanding me and returning me to the main menu. Eventually I gave up... This is a huge barrier to entry and absolutely terrible. I just want to see a doctor.

I am with PAMF as a patient for last 12 years. Every year I visit for routine health check up. I did same for year 2022 as well with same physician. To my surprise, I received bill for Office visit as well along with $350 bill for routine health check. I was told that the discussion with doctor on a topic is considered as office visit. There was no indication from Doctor about any of this changes and now billing department as well as customer care department is just giving standard answer that it is possible to have office visit charge. The topic here is of general conversation I have like how are you feeling. An charges were with the statements like I need to focus on exercising with weights etc to keep muscle mass. If one can not discuss this during well check up then what is? Why should we even be filling up PAMF pockets with $350 for no value added advise. I will be raising this issue with respective California government authorities as well. Be aware of this practice of PAMF before you go for any well check up routine visits.

The PAMF Dublin Ophthalmology department is the worst facility in the Bay area I have seen so far. The office never follows up properly, getting an appointment takes more than a month, then the office cancels appointment suddenly and never follows up. When you follow up, they can’t get you an appointment before another month or two months. They are under-stuffed and have extremely poor management. I have been seen at Kaiser and Stanford before and never have seen anything like this. My eyes are hurting for more than two months and they don’t have a concept of urgent care when it comes to appointments and follow up appointments. Very very frustrated. Never again.

Update: After a couple more years with pamf, I realized pamf's doctors are very good. It is the billing or management abusing the accounting policy to double check the visits if the chart has some unnecessary information. So now I worked with doctors to make sure their notes only have the info related to my visit nothing more. So far I have not experienced any double billing and outrageous charges. Just be aware of what doctors put in your charts. Some innocent notes can easily cause financial headache.
