After having a horrible experience at my dogs old vet. Going to Redwood Animal Hospital was an eye opener how vets are supposed to treat animals. The staff was friendly and doctor made my dog feel comfortable and cared for. We had an amazing experience. We will be returning.

The doctor and staff are very nice. The doctor takes the time to know my pet dog and calm her. It is extremely hard to get vet appointments since covid and find a vet who is not actively scamming you. I am very lucky to have my two dogs as patients.

Nothing special about this veterinary clinic. Wait times are really bad, and reception has gotten rude and condescending. I've tried to continue using this clinic but they never have appointments available for us, so we won't keep trying. Almost every time I've called I don't even get through. We started going here during the pandemic and their set-up was really bad during summers, we'd sit in our hot cars under the beating sun. They didn't handle that situation well, but we stuck with them to get care for our pets. No need to stick with an establishment that scolds clients or gets punchy when informing there are zero appointments available for 3 whole weeks. We paid thousands to this place but today's receptionist decided we weren't good enough clients to be polite about our sick cat. Because we hadn't been for a while, I knew we'd need a new appointment, but this receptionist was ridiculously rude about it. We just won't return...
Response to Redwood: I didn't request a refill, I simply asked if it was an option to pick up an ointment typical for pink eye in cats or if you needed to see her, I also suggested sending a picture. I was throwing out suggestions. Given how busy vet clinics are, there should be telehealth options, especially for existing clients. The receptionist cut me off and was dismissive. Hopefully we'll find an office that doesn't condescend to clients and instead listens to them and gives options and has empathy. I was trying to make an appointment and I'm told nothing is available for 3 weeks. The receptionist was rude and dismissive as if us not having a recent check-up means we don't deserve vet care for our cat. So yes I hung up after she was curt with me. We've spent thousands there and treated like a nuisance when we call. This is how I was made to feel. While I appreciate the response it misrepresents what I was saying, needing, requesting, etc.

Dr Ruggs is very personable and answers all my questions promptly. I feel comfortable and at ease under her care over my kitty, Magic. Her vet techs and front office staff are also very sweet & helpful. They seem to work well as a team.
