    I absolutely LOVE DBC — it’s become a true non-negotiable in my life. What started as a mission to fix chronic hip pain from years of running turned into something so much bigger. Not only did they help me get out of pain, but at 50, I’m now the strongest and most fit I’ve ever been.

    I’ve worked with multiple trainers, therapists, and PTs, and I consistently use the recovery equipment — the level of expertise and care is unmatched. What truly sets DBC apart, though, is the people. From day one, you feel supported, encouraged, and genuinely known. Everyone is in your corner, cheering you on and celebrating your wins.

    DBC didn’t just help me heal — it helped me level up. 💪✨

    Alex has been instrumental in guiding my journey to be physically fit, strong and mentally disciplined. He has an incredible understanding of biomechanics Alex takes the term personal training very personally . His approach is not a one sized fits all approach but a streamlined methodology to meet your individual goals. Alex is also an incredible human being, who sees you as you as a whole person not just a client . Once you leave the gym he hopes your training will transfer to your day-to-day life.

    Alex is a game changer! Worked with him for 2.5 years and loved it. He is so aware of body mechanics and was able to help me with knee pain and shoulder pain. I now understand how to workout on my own in a way that maximizes output! I love Alex so much that all three of my daughters have also worked with him- ages 9, 15 & 18. Without hesitation, I would say, give Alex a try!

    Training with Drew at DBC Fitness has been a great experience. I'm not a "fitness-y" person, and I've never felt excluded here. They've done a great job of cultivating a community of welcoming, community-oriented folks who are excellent at what they do and invested in helping you feel your best. Plus the gym itself is very intentionally laid-out and well-maintained (with tons of equipment).

    DBC trainers and Physical Therapists here are "No BS" the real deal. I specifically have to give a big huge thank you to my PT for over a year now Dr. Drew Courtney and my coach Gil Yarano for providing me not only guidance in my meniscus, hip, and shoulder recovery but also educating me in the process of maintenence and progression in my fitness journey!! All my sessions they have gone above and beyond with care! I specified my goals for knee injury/ Bakers cyst, where my other docs recommended surgery and quitting the activities that I love as my only option :( DBC tailored programming to my goals and continue to progress with great results! I have not only fully returned to my physical activity prior to injuries butbeen able to compete in elite hybrid fitness competitions this year. This old Army combat veteran is extremely satisfied and beyond grateful for all DBC training staff. :) and the recovery side a HUGE plus!! Thank you DBC!!

    The team at DBC Fitness San Diego are knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The facility has the state of the art fitness equipment and is always organized and clean. I knew Casey from racing mountain bikes and sought his counsel because I was having issues staying healthy and fit by just riding. He invited me and my wife for an introductory evaluation and included Drew Courtney PT. Having worked with Casey and Drew for over a year now, I feel healthy, strong and as physically fit as ever. I’m riding stronger than I have in years...61 years young. I highly recommend DBC FItness San Diego.

    Training with Casey at DBC Fitness has taken my fitness to the next level. It has been the perfect combination of a “back-to-basics” and “push-the-limits” approach. The facility has everything you need and I would highly recommend each of the trainers.

    I started training with Ro 3 months ago with the hopes of improving the constant back pain I was having due to an injury and with the hope of dropping 20 pounds that I gained last year with the inactivity from CoVid and having surgery on my wrist. I was at my heaviest and feeling horrible. I was also told by Doctors that I should consider surgery at some point if the back pain continued and that I should also stop running, squatting and deadlifting. As a former athlete and always being active this hit me hard that I was being told I would need back surgery and that I could not do some of things I was use to doing. I met with Ro and he conducted a assessment that gave him the information that we needed to build a program that helped me meet my goals. Throughout the process he educated me on how to properly perform each movement and guided me on a nutrition program that was very well balanced and maintainable. He taught me new training methods and movements that also helped me improve my flexibility. I am very pleased with my results as I lost the 20 pounds that I was shooting for but most importantly I am running, squatting, deadlifting weight I couldn't before without any pain. I appreciate the dedication he showed me during my time with him and highly recommend him to anyone.
