Worked with Dr. G for years, he is such an intelligent and compassionate vet. He has come to the rescue many times and we are so grateful for his help. He is very thorough and follows up after emergencies.
There's just no way to describe our experience with Dr. Edgardo other than he guided us through a terrible moment with the utmost of kindness, empathy, compassion and professionalism. We left Sedona, AZ to go to Monterey, CA, just planning to board one night at a horse hotel near Bakersfield. We unloaded our horses that evening and we could tell one was in distress with breathing. We tended to him for a bit thinking it might be choke. It became clear it probably wasn't. We were able to get in touch with the hospital phone abut 10:30 PM. Dr.gonzalez and staff are amazing.. my filly came to me after a 3 day trip at 4 months old, she arrived with parasite blockage/colic...they saved my babygirls life. She is a very big girl at 1 yr old she is 15 hands and 1130lbs but they are so loving and patient with her. Dr.gonzalez explains everything he is doing.he is knowledgeable, gentle and is not about money (his priority is the animal) and by far the best staff in bakersfield ? my girl gets so excited to trailer cause she knows she is going to see her friends at the vet office and the staff gets happy to see her too.... ????
