I’ve been a long time patient of Dr Coats. She is awesome, always there when needed. Her office staff are amazing as well. The massage therapists are the best! Danielle is a life-saver with her therapeutic hands.

I have gone to multiple Chiropractors over the last 15 years, across the country. All of them are top notch. Three of the 4 were top in their respective states and very well known. They all did similar practices like take x-rays at the very 1st appointment, use a drop table and activator, just to name a couple. But these three things, they have always been their go to. I was going to Michelle for over 2 years, off an on, while I was moving permanently to Phoenix area. I wasn't very impressed with Michelle (chiro) at all. She was nice, but there were some things I didn't like. Before I dive into that, I will say, DC did have two amazing women, Trish (massage) and Linda (acupuncture) working for them and were top notch but neither work for them now. Now my issues... I thought it was very interesting when I first started going to DC, Michelle didn't care about the xrays. She didn't even look at them. When I asked her about them she said "nah, I don't need them". That should have been my first red flag. When I asked her several times about the drop table, her response was always the same "nah, i just don't think you need one" and shrugged off my question/request. When I had my car accident (End of July 2022) out of state on vacation, I went back to Michelle when I got home, because I knew the other two modalities, massage with Trish and acupuncture with Linda, would really help. So I sucked up the mediocre chiro. It blew my mind that AGAIN Michelle refused to look at the x-rays or CT/MRI scans. She just started "treating me". I was out of work for 6 months. Things were very tight financially. I found out with in a few later after starting to see Michelle (Sept), the other car insurance was only going to pay $25K max for the brain injury, loss of income and medical bills and that I needed to send my medical claims through my health insurance. I immediately informed Debbie and Trish, that of the new finding and asked them to bill my insurance. Debbie asked if I had a lawyer, and said that they thought I would get more money than the $25k. I told her no, I had fired the lawyer I had gotten. And just in lost income would be close to $20K during that time and that didn't include the Health insurance wanting me to pay them back nor short term disability wanting me to pay them too. I presumed that when I told Debbie she needed to submit them through my insurance, she would. She didn't. When I had just started going back to work in Jan 2023, I got a bill for over $11,000. I quickly called up the office, spoke with Debbie who claimed they "never submitted the claims to my health insurance because we were never told to do so." even though I said it in front of several of their office staff. She added "it's too late to submit them now, so you are just going to have to pay." I also questioned why I was being charged $300+ for seeing Michelle and not the normal $40. Again "that's the accident rate, we don't do cash rates on accidents". FYI... Michelle didn't do ANYTHING different from her "normal" care for me. Not one! I immediately called my health insurance up and found out they had til July 2023 to file all their claims. When I informed Debbie, she was not happy about doing that. So anything that was not covered by my health insurance, they charged me the "accident rate". So I started to make payments. However.... they don't' make it easy to make payments. There is no website to do it from, you either call between their weird hours and do it over the phone or do it in person. So I was doing my best to make payments, waiting for the settlement with Farmers as I did that. In Oct 2023, I received a bill saying "final statement" please pay. My interpretation was that was my "final bill" since I was no longer being treated by DC Canyon. There was NO email "if you don't pay this by Wed, we are sending you to collections". Well they sent me to collections and

Came here cause my insurance was in network with them. Every time I went, I was always charged 45 bucks even though my insurance covers most of the bill like 95% of the bill. Called my insurance to see if this was correct and they said they were overcharging me. Good chiropractor but just don’t know how to handle the billing/Insurance part.

Dr Michelle coats is the best!! I wanted to find a female Chiro and was glad I did! I probably won't ever go anywhere else. However, it is unfortunate how rude the front desk ladies are. When I called to make my new patient appointment, i almost changed my mind with how they spoke to me on the phone. Also, they will be on their phone sometimes too when I'm right there in front of the desk waiting to schedule.
