My pets have been treated at Hillcrest for several years now. Initially the were seen by Dr Joan Nafe. When she retired I wanted to cry. Dr Larry repaired both ACLs on one of my dogs, about one month apart. Dr Joan and Dr Larry diagnosed and treated another of my dogs for bartonella, a vector borne disease. I think they literally pulled him from the brink of death. Since Dr Joan retired, they have been cared for Dr Tiffany Skinner, who trained with the Nafe's daughter at OSU. I can't overemphasize what great care she has provided to my pups. I just can't imagine taking my dogs anywhere but Hillcrest Animal Hospital.

Best of the best!! Dr. Laverne and Dr. Taxer are amazing!! They take care of all my pets, past and present! I have had horrific experiences elsewhere, but always feel completely confident in this vet clinic. The most common complaint I hear when I mention that I go here is "they are way too expensive!" I always answer with "you get what you pay for!" I rely on them so much for all my veterinary needs, and they have been so sweet to always help me out with whatever is going on. Very kind, professional and caring people. Thanks so much for everything you guys do!!

Dr. Razer and Dr. Gibson were wonderful with my dog Tonks. She is 11 and I was referred to HAH by my vet in Conway for removal of several tumors. Dr. Razer examined her, was so patient and really took the time to discuss options. She oversaw her care and gave me post-op instructions. Dr. Gibson did her surgery removing 6 lumps, 4 lipomas and 2 types of cancer. She went above and beyond and was so patient and kept me informed every step of the way. Both doctors and all the staff were great and treated my dog and I both with kindness and compassion. I absoulutely recommend them.

Will NEVER come back or see Dr Clarke for ANY needs related to medical care for any animal!! Will NEVER go back to this place or any vet she works at. Does not care for our animal, wanted to blindly try medication for our dog and wanted to take advantage of us. Details of entire experience: Our dog started off have symptoms of back pain and we took him to Pet Co to get an x-ray, since no local vets had any opening that week. We get the x ray back and was informed that there is a possibility of back surgery needed Vetco Recommend us to a specialist in Memphis. We were recommended by someone local to try Hillcrest due to availability and the back specialist there. This is where it all begins. We take our dog in to be checked over and get a second opinion on the x-rays. Dr Clarke starts to give her prognosis before even looking at the x rays and saying he need "this and that" medication. I interrupted her saying "have you looked at the x rays yet or are you just guessing?" She did not like this. Her response was "no but the x-rays won't tell us much anyway." Goes on a lengthy explanation of her 2 mins of looking at him why he needs certain medication. I bluntly interrupted again saying "would a ct scan be better and give you a better educated guess at what could be wrong vs blindly trying medication" Again she does not like being interrupted or having suggestions. I was only suggesting to see if it would help her diagnose him better. She did agree that it would help her be able to tell if he needs surgery but is expensive and would be a week wait. I stated money is not a issue just let me know the cost and the soonest we can get him in. I was told $1500 for a full ct scan and no other mention of additional cost or test was brought up. So we book our appointment for next Monday. Apologize for interrupting and if I was rude in doing so. She shrugged it off and we say goodbye. Later that same afternoon we got wonderful news that our dog could be seen the very next morning for a ct scan. We book it and have the ct scan the next day. The dr tells us unfortunately she didn't see any thing wrong in he's back or neck and not really sure what could be causing his pain. (Frustrating but understandable and still happy we got the scan) Dr Clarke says possible infection, meningitis, arthritis or bone spurs could be the issue and sent tests out to test for infection and suggest we start treatment for infection right away. If the test come back negative to stop the treatment and start on high does of steroids. We say okay. Time for checkout. We go to pay expecting our $1500 dollar bill but now all of a sudden it is over $2500 dollars. (The amount isn't the problem just the agreed upon amount before the scan, now once it's done it's over $1000 more) I state my concerns with the new total and they immediately respond with "I thought money isn't a problem" I go on to explain it's not just the agreed upon amount before and after is. Dr Clarke starts to show her ugly side and says things like "I told you the price may vary", (she clearly said $1500)"that was only the price of the scan not anesthesia or other tests"(she did not mention any other variables, the test she did without asking) and "you will have to pay us $1500 before you can take your animal. We pay $1500 and leave. Dr Clarke tells us if the anesthesia does not wear off in 24hrs to bring him back it. 32hrs later our dog still can not stand on his own and seems very inebriated. We call Hillcrest Animal Hospital back and tell about our dog's condition. We are told to bring him in immediately. We arrive at Hillcrest Animal hospital to be unpleasantly surprised to the Office Manager Jillian snidely telling us we are no longer allowed at Hillcrest Animal Hospital nor are any of our animals from here on out, they will be "refunding" us the $1000 we still owed on the ct scan and stopped all tests. We ask what about our dogs condition from the anesthesia and his

Would give zero stars if I could. They care more about covering up unprofessional behavior by the staff and illegal, unnecessary charges than about helping animals. I honestly don't know why they even see patients when it is run this way. Run, don't walk, to another vet.
