I had an appt with Sydney K today and my experience was 10/10! I would like to say the salon was very clean and in an excellent location. I loved the decor and the friendly environment from everyone within the salon. Sydney took the time to listen to what I wanted and more than met my expectations! She was very friendly, punctual and made me feel very at ease using a new stylist! I will be a new regular for her! Side note: I had a caramel biolage and cut !

First haircut in Bham, had Sydney help me out and she was great! Asked a bunch of questions as to how i wanted it and was really nice. First time ive had a good cut in a long time!

Honestly not my greatest experience. I wouldn’t recommend going here you’re a blonde. They did not blend my highlights well at all and there is a literal line of where my highlights start on the top of my head - they don’t touch my roots. Also, I paid way too much for a partial highlight and for a terrible job.

I can't believe I'm the first to review this busy salon! I'm thrilled with how my hair turned out - the color is lovely with a perfect tone. Bailey is such a sweetheart and very pleasant to work with. Their prices are pretty reasonable too. I'm never crazy about paying for a blow dry/style at the end of a color job, but that was my only minor complaint about my experience @ Maven.

Mel is an amazing stylist. Professional and did exactly as I explained. BUT- the receptionist and owners of this salon need to understand that I AM NOT GOING TO PAY $50 FOR A CANCELLATION FEE. Especially when it is a 2 days notice. I tested positive for Covid and was sick as hell, called with in a 48 hr notice. I said I would call and reschedule… but after being told that I had to pay this joke of a fee for a well within a 48 hour cancellation period because I have Covid - I WILL NOT BE BACK. Mind you I was informed of this when I tried to make a new appointment not when I canceled. I found another stylist who will work with me and not be ridiculous about whatever kind of rule this is. I’m not paying a cancellation fee for canceling well with 72 hours notice. ✌?✌?✌?✌?✌?

I see MEL at Maven, and I'm so thankful I found her. I have sat in her chair for a cut & style, as well as full highlights. She's a master of her craft. I've given pretty vague visions during my consults, but she still just -gets- it and nails it everytime! My hair feels (and looks) so good & healthy thanks to her.
