Had a horrible experience. Mentor didn’t bother to read my business plan and wasted my valuable time picking keywords from my plan and trying to wax poetic on it. As an educator, it is super obvious when someone hasn’t done the homework.The person also went so far as to suggest I engage in illegal activity to generate revenue before starting a legitimate business. Not the type of experience you want from a supposed “mentor.”Do yourself a favor and get help elsewhere. Paying for an advisor would be better than someone who gives advice that’ll destroy you and your business. Also, wouldn’t you rather someone who actually cared? Yea SCORE gets a score of 0.

They set you up with an experienced business mentor that knows what they are doing, and can help guide you along. My first meeting resulted in an action plan I was immediately able to execute on while feeling more confident in that I wasn't alone in what I was doing. Not only that, but it's free! You're crazy not to take advantage of it.
