This place has been here since before 1997! We came here for years, until we moved out of Seattle a couple years ago. I have slightly wavy, thick, coarse hair and the stylist always did a great job.
Hair Skill Design is a lovely little salon up on Beacon Hill. I just got my haircut for the first time at Hair Skill Design and it went great - cut to how I asked in a pleasant atmosphere. The stylist did a wonderful job working around my mask for COVID protocol and she asked if I wanted any changes before we were done. While I normally go to Jess Barber, since he has yet to reopen, I would recommend other men looking for a good haircut up on Beacon to give Hair Skill Design a try.
I've been going to Jackie since moving to Seattle area in 2002. I have really thick, really heavy, really straight Asian hair. She has styled it several ways and I have not had a bad haircut. She is fast, knowledgeable, and highly experienced.
