Lived for 8 months so far:Pros:1. Very friendly leasing staff2. well maintained swimming pool and hot bath tub during summer3. Location is great: close to grocery/ various eatery options / highways connecting to Bellevue and SeattleCons:1. Extremely slow maintenance as it took 6 months to get various repairs done- the reason seems to be the lack of communication between leasing and maintenance as leasing staff sounded helpless on ETA for any repair completion. There is a mobile app to submit maintenance request but it provides no reply or date either. I’ve lived here for four months and I know my writing will seem contrary to the rating I’m giving, but hear me out. (First of all, I am hoping Avenue 5 will read and understand that I give five stars because, despite the amount of trouble I’ve had, it is trouble beyond what the staff can help, who have gone above and beyond to compensate for what they cannot control. However, it is possible Avenue 5 can, and I feel they should have a look.)My AC has not been reliable for a good two months now. After about 3 years of living here, sadly, it will be coming to an end. Not because of anything wrong with these apartments, but just found job opportunities elsewhere. Even with staffing and maintenance personnel shortage, they still get the job done very well. The leasing office staff are super nice and have great constant communication. They have also gone above and beyond than any apartment I have lived in having creative and fun community events. As this place may be a bit higher in price than nearby complexes, there are things that make it well worth it. The building/walls are concrete, so you don't hear everything your neighbor does.
