“Jake one of my boys(dog)has low grade mass cell cancer; I like that they document where every lump, bump, skin tag is on him. Dozer my other boy they've helped some w/ his SEVERE anxiety, I really wish they could/would help more so I could do more w/ my Therapy boy Jake before like I did before I got Dozer as puppy..aswell as do things w/ Dozer. People tell me get rid of Dozer if he's that bad...well would you just get rid of your child if it were the same situation; my pups love me unconditionally & vise versa! I'd never give up on them like they dont give up on me!!???Jake loves his car rides w/ mom, taking walks; if I could do it w/ both them together I would in heartbeat! I have walk them individually bc they're both large dogs, taking walks w/ both together is too difficult; car rides for Dozer is traumatic for him so I take him in the car as little as possible. They've helped w/ my cat who was diagnosed recently w/ Diabetes. The only downfall I find w/ them is their charges are extremely higher then other vets in the area; it makes it difficult for someone on a set monthly S.S. income!“
“Dr Nate is a great vet, very caring with very personal service. . We have used him for our last three dogs over the last 30+ years.“
“Charlie had a sudden injury and we were able to get in that day. Dr. J. did a very thorough exam and diagnosed a soft muscle injury. After rest and meds he is back running and playing. Our pets always get such great care. Highly recommend!“
“I want to thank everyone for their care and concern and kindness yesterday when Mia had to cross the rainbow bridge. The staff was understanding and very compassionate. Thank you for making a hard experience more tolerable. We really appreciate you. Beth Wiskochl“
“I don’t have enough positive things to say. And I was there for a freaking euthanasia. I went with my daughter to put her cat down. So much compassion, empathy, warmth, and patience from everyone. I couldn’t believe the care and effort taken to make sure my daughter and her cat were as comfortable as could be in a really bad situation. If I didn’t live in New York, I would switch to Orchard Veterinary Hospital in a heart beat. Beyond thankful.“
“Lifechanging. They did us a favor before we even stepped in the door: after moving to VT I had called to get my dog Kenta started as a new patient. He's reactive at the vet so we made a plan, but before our first visit I got a cancer diagnosis myself. Life turned upside down and since Kenta was fine we forgot about it until I was out of the woods. I called them about a year later and while they weren't taking new patients at that point they agreed to still see us, considering the circumstances, which was so kind. It's just gotten better from there. They are very accommodating to reactive dogs, working with you to find the best solution to keep your pet calm and comfortable. No sedatives or blanket has been required! The energy of everyone there is perfect -- calm and unfazed -- which has helped Kenta progress quickly. He's now taking treats directly from the vet and getting pets! Unheard of before. We're also seeing the same vet every time for consistency which has helped. Cannot recommend them enough, especially for anxious/reactive dogs.“
“My husband and I are beyond thrilled with our experience with the care we received for our cat Patrick. We moved to NNY 2.5 years ago with our 8 cats. Patrick was a special case who needed specialized surgery. Thankfully, our new vet in Canton, NY referred us to BEVS. It's been 6 months and Patrick has recovered very well and is a NEW cat (actually he's now a 6 year old kitten!) If it wasn't for Dr. Helmick's amazing expertise and his wonderful team Patrick would never have gotten to this point where he can enjoy life so thoroughly. We stand amazed and will be ever grateful. Thank you BEVS!“
“Great care, friendly people, respectful environment.Really happy with this vet, except for one small complaint. We made an appointment for a car neutering. My wife paid 50% at the time of making the appointment.$150 to make it, $300 total."is that exactly half of what the bill will be, including tax and all other costs?""Tax will add a few bucks but yes."Go in for the appointment, get handed a bill for $223."um, I paid half""yeah but there's these fees..." goes on to explain.I wasn't pleased, but had a drugged kitty and wanted to discuss it with my wife first before assuming my memory was correct.A simple misunderstanding I'm quite sure, but you did tell us it was exactly half, we budgeted for that number, and it is $78 higher. In this economy?Again, GREAT VET. Bring your cat here, but leave a financial buffer even when you are told a firm number. That's life though, great cat spot. Highly recommend,“
“I have been a client of Dr. Randy Franz for years. Dr. Franz has a great knowledge base that he works at to keep current and a kind and patient "bedside manner" with the horses. In one instance, I'm sure a horse we had would not have recovered as well as he did from a terrible injury without Dr. Franz's care.“
