After researching online for a stylist to help my friend with starter twist I found this place. Contacted my friend and she made her appt for today.My friend just called me in TEARS stating she hates her hair, the photos shown on instagram are a fraud, the woman that did her twist was her first time doing hair and she cut ALL her hair off and thinned it out.Also while doing her hair she proceeded to tell her about her boyfriend that was stuck in another state for a murder charge he was fighting anddddd to end things off, she was initally told the style would be $85 but afterwards was told the total would be $300. Finally, she wanted to take pics of said friend while crying mind you, for her instagram page because she doesn't have any real pics of her own.AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

I was excited to find a new loctician that was on time, knowledgeable, and welcoming. BeautyHighlighter/Shanice was there and ready to go...awesome, immediate gold star.I booked well in advance for a retwist, yet BeautyHighlighter/Shanice didn't expect a guest with microlocs and failed to pad in the potential time for such a customer or even create a special appointment on her booking page, otherwise I would have selected it and eliminated the surprise.She complained periodically about that...even admitted out loud that she was complaining...but carried to further cement the sheer joy I felt in her chair as a first-timer.Overall, the experience felt rushed and was painful. I am tender-headed, but I wasn't this uncomfortable in my former loctician's chair like I was here. Since she was in a rush and wasn't thrilled with my microlocs in the first place, I can only surmise that the pain was isolated to this loctician.Even then, I still was going to rebook because she seemed knowledgeable enough to recommend interlocking until I realized that either the sister wasn't alerted to take my clips out or Shanice forgot to mention it in the rush to get out of dodge. Regardless, I was abandoned under the dryer and serviced by the other hairdresser who noticed I was left out in the cold...or heat, rather.When I came home to review my bill, a $20 product charge was tacked on which was not discussed in person OR noted anywhere on the booking page. I also noted on my booking AND in person that I found her through the money mailer...bill did not reflect coupon she was offering either. I was willing to forgo the coupon, even left a 20% tip, but I didn't notice the product charge...maybe I was in a rush to get out of there too. I wasn't going to write this review, but that extra charge finally pushed me over the edge.I regret the booking, but you live and you learn. After strike #2, it really makes me doubt if there are any black hairdressers that take customer acquisition seriously.

I hate call in this place if you will put me on the speaker and put me on hold for 15 minutes to listen to somebody else conversation I do not like listening to other people's conversation II have all I had to do was just ask a simple question add service
