Changed from 3 stars to 4. The owner called to talk and put a complimentary haircut on file for us. We did eventually go back. We didn't leave this time to soothe any meltdown, and arrived a few minutes early for our appointment which might have saved us the situation I experienced last time (read below) The stylist was nice, asked what shows we wanted on, was chatty and asked for feedback, events were were pleasant. I'll probably go back again now that I've had a better experience, my child likes it.

My son hates haircuts, so we go as infrequently as possible. A friend suggested this establishment and it was like night & day. The best haircut we’d had before my son looked like he was going to cry at any moment so we had to keep distracting him with treats. No amount of screens & movies would distract him from the haircut. At Cookie Cutters they showed him each pair of clippers before using them, and let him touch them. He was hesitant but then you could see the calm & understanding wash over his face. He’s never been this relaxed and ok with a haircut before. The only issue we had was the clippers tickling his neck ? It was just such a nice experience... read full review
