I fell in love with a big old house that had foundation problems . Before I closed on the purchase, I contacted Bergeman Construction for an evaluation of the structure. Joel gave me the bad news, but also offered a solution and a plan to make my vision a reality. After months of work, my house has been restored. But that's not the end of the story--After torrential rains, the basement was flooding. It was almost two years after Bergeman Construction had finished their contract with me. I contacted Joel and he showed up to help.. He was not obligated to do so, but he and his crew installed drains and fixed the problem- at no additional cost to me. Joel Bergeman is a stand up guy and I would recommend him to anyone with foundation problems

Called Joel out to get an estimate on a foundation. Several days later still no estimate. I was on a deadline for the estimate. Finally reached him on day four without it. He was long on excuses and short on results. I politely Asked how much time he needed for o finish the estimate. He got offended and asked me if I wanted to meet him somewhere and discuss it man to man. I was appalled! Then I found this... And it all became clear. Shame on me for not looking into this company more. Do not waste your time with this guy. Call someone else. Seriously! His employee CAROL equally as rude! Next stop for me BBB.

These guys know their business and are great to work with. Not only did they do a great job replacing our foundation, digging down the basement, and leveling and stabilizing the old house, they also went above and beyond to help frame out the new space when my general contractor broke his arm. I'd recommend them for any foundation project.
