I’ve been going to maxx for 3 years now and it was fantastic for the money.I have no real complaints except for corporate and the franchise owner. Not the local people running it. They didn’t get machines fixed, they didn’t pay their taxes, which eventually led to the place closing down. This was the best solution in the area for all the monclova, Whitehouse, Waterville, Maumee people!Thanks maxx for the memories I hope all the local employees are able to find a new job after 2 days notice.

The employees are friendly, they have classes that will give you a good work out. They have plenty of cardio machines, some even in front of a theater screen. If you have the extra dough you can get a personal trainer. They have free weights, nautilus equipment, bench presses and squats stations. They don’t have anything like a lunk alarm, so it’s not uncommon to see people abusing the equipment, or hearing loud grunts. Unfortunately, that means there is always something broken and it takes them a while to fix them. Staff is cool, especially management team, very helpful, the protein shakes taste good and are very nutritional. The weights and equipment are high quality. Price of membership is very reasonable overall.
