I had a great experience of manicure in Arete Beauty Spa. ? The nail technician (Ning pr Ling if I didn’t get it right ?) did a very good job. ? She is very good at her job and her skills are one of a kind.The salon ambience is amazing and its clean.I forgot to take a photo of my nails that day but it was so pretty and amazing that until now (after more than a month!), I still have my nail extensions in place and well intact. I never had this experience from other salon( usually they are already destroyed after 2-3 weeks). I’ve been going to Arete for over two years now and my nails have never been stronger or healthier. They use Japanese gel and all the nail techs are incredibly meticulous and do a great job removing gel, shaping your nail beds and creating manicures that last 4-5 weeks without chipping. At only $40 (cash) for a gel manicure + removal, you can’t find better prices in NYC.

I had a great experience getting my gel mani and regular pedi here. Ling was super meticulous with her work, focusing on the health of my nails. She also recommended polish colors that worked well for my skin color.An appointment is a must, as they only have three manicurists. And the day we were there, only one person was working.The nail salon is on the 2nd floor, but there weren't any signs. The stores on the ground floor remain boarded up due to a recent fire.
