Jewels has her own brand of holistic acupuncture. The first fifteen or so minutes of the session is sort of like talk therapy, she asks questions and learns where you are in your life. Then, she gets you on the table and uses this giant massage thing to massage and vibrate your whole body from head to toe, all while she offers you affirmations. Finally, she puts in the needles, and then leaves you with spacious time for relaxation. I love going Jewel!! It's unlike all other acupuncture experiences!
At the end of five months of Wing and Kite foiling in La Ventana, Baja California my sore muscles were very ready for a sports oriented massage from jewels. Her own active participation in water sports gives her a keen insight into how to work on all those hotspots that can show up during extended athletic workouts. The “fascia blaster” tool that she introduced me to has worked very well with tendinitis in the upper arms and sore shoulders that can occur when wing boarding excessively. Jewels is an amazing massage therapist. She works exactly how you ask her to (pressure wise), and finds your right spots. She worked on my chronic tennis elbow too and worked that out. She's excellent and I recommend her highly.
