Can't say enough bad things about this firm. As others have said, will not return calls and then when they do they expect you to do their job for them. Fees, fees and more fees with no value added for the fees. Tax advice is minimal, all things that save me money on tax bill I suggested. Avoid Abacus at all costs.

I've stayed with this company way too long, thinking that the bad experiences I had over the last couple years were flukes. (They rank high on the BBB site) But I can't believe they're still in business. Horrible communication. Poor service all around. The "accountant" that was working on our taxes wouldn't return texts, calls, or emails. And even though, they had all my information and receipts, they had to file an extension because they didn't get finished by the deadline. It was finally filed and although I asked them last year to send statements to me through the postal service (because email is NOT a good method for me to receive statements), they didn't. Instead, this month I have stumbled upon a statement, which includes additional late charges they've added. This is the only statement I can find. Perhaps they sent a statement to my email and it was lost in my spam folder which gets over 100 emails a day. I don't know. But, they have ALL my personal information. Seems like they could have picked up the phone and said, "hey, we sent a statement. Did you get that?" Because clearly I did NOT get it. I'm looking for another CPA firm.

Have tried this company twice. The last time was the worst gave me first quarter estimate of 10k ended up without paying any quarters taxes were 5k. They loose paperwork, won't return calls, if you're not ontop of them they won't do any follow up. I sent in paperwork and called a month later they said they only got 1 page of 10. No one bothered to call and say hey resend this. I would not recommend using this company at all. The only way this company has any shred of decency is it's supervisors Brook and Terri once you get them involved then you'll get results however you have to call supervisors to actually get things taken care of.
